Secondary use for Similac
Ok, so ya’ll know I work a full time job, ya’ll know I love to cook, and I think most of the people that read my blog understand that there are a ton of things to do at night with an almost ELEVEN month old and a husband. Wash clothes, wash the baby, wash the dishes, pick up the house, blah, blah, blah, PLUS find something to feed my family and myself. I guess what I’m beating around the bush saying, is that we eat a lot of leftovers at our house!
We will cook a lot of meat and switch up the sides until all of the meat is used. Then we will cook something else. I would love to have time to cook a wonderful meal for my family every night, but I just don’t!
ANYWHO, last night we had some leftover grilled chicken from Monday night, well l really wanted some of the lipton noodles…I’m all for something that cooks in 8 minutes. There was just one problem, I was out of milk and the package called for ½ cup. I could have walked next door and asked my Mother in Law {sweetpepperrose} but I decided I would just improvise with something I always have on hand…Anna Lynn’s baby formula.
Well, in case you were wondering, it wasn’t half bad, and hubs didn’t even notice.

PB&J Cookies

I really do follow some great ladies that have delicious recipes so make sure you go check them out!
I baked some of these

I had a few,
but not too many,
did you know I'm allergic to peanut butter?
Yeah, just peanut butter...not peanuts?!?!?!
They were great,
I'm sure that kids would love them
I was able to find this recipe over here and I'm sure it would work
or if you already have a favorite peanut butter cookie recipe
just use it and press your thumb into the center and do a drop of jelly
I used grape on most of them
and tried Plum {John's uncle Clint's home made} on the other
They were my favorite

Why I Eat Tuna For Lunch
So, before I go to “tootin my own horn”, I do still occasionally eat fast food, although I can say I have cut down on it DRASICALLY in hopes of losing weight.
If you have never done any research on the nutritional information on your favorite fast foods, GO DO IT NOW. Every single chain restaurant has their nutritional information listed.
Like I told ya’ll before, I have been trying to bring my lunch with me to work. But this morning I forgot. So…for days like today, I have a stock pile of tuna packets and cans. I prefer the packets…no draining, so simple and I love the lemon pepper flavor.
Besides being around a $1.00 a piece, here is something to consider when decided on what you can grab real quick.
Tuna: Calories 100, Total Fat 1g, Sat. Fat 0g, Trans Fat 0, Polyunsat. Fat 0g, Monousat. Fat 0g, Cholesterol 60mg, Sodium 360 mg, Potassium 180 mg, Total Carb. 0g, Fiber 0g, Protein 26g.
Burger King’s Whopper Jr.: 340 calories, Total Fat 19g, Sat. Fat 5g, Trans Fat 0g, 40mg Cholesterol, Protein 14g, Sugar 6g, Sodium 530mg, Carbs. 29g.
